Sunday

Stacy and I worked around the house and in the yard.  I installed new blades on my p.o.s. White/MTD lawn tractor.  We got our gear on and rode the Vespas to Harbor Town and Visited with Pam and Ted who just returned from Roxy’s wedding in Florida, yesterday.

Next, we headed to downtown for the Crayfish Festival. People were walking around with pound sacks of the spicy mud bugs.  I asked a lady to show me how one eats those bugs and she did.  Then I watched Stacy eat her first craw daddy. I am still a crayfish virgin.

It was hot and crowded so we walked east from the river and on our way we ran into Elizabeth and Craig.  After a nice chat we ate Tilapia fish tacos and oysters at the Flying Fish.  Yum! Stac was tired by then and we headed back to the Vespas for the ride home.  On the way home Ian waved at us as he passed by in his cool Audi.

I was not finished riding so after seeing Stac safely home I headed over to Erroll’s for a Killian’s Red on draft to cool me off.  I chatted with Srey, Erroll, Ann, and a few bikers I know.  Most, but not all, of them are law enforcement types.  I headed north to Atoka and followed farm-to-market roads east and then south to Bartlett where I got a quart of frozen vanilla custard blended with Heath Bars at Sheridan’s.  I was quite the hero for showing up at home with this yummy treat.

We watched movies and the three of us ate frozen custard.  It was a nice day and I put 75 miles on my trusty Vespa 200l which now has over 17,000 fun miles on it.  Considering that the 200l is just one of my four bikes, that is a lot of miles for a 2005 scooter.

What did you do on Sunday?
